Today's Choice for Tomorrow's Future

Chorus

The L.E.S. Chorus stands on a platform outside during a performance.

Students must earn good grades (nothing below a ‘C’), have good attendance, and demonstrate excellent behavior in and out of school. Students meet before school twice a week to develop proper singing techniques and have fun with their peers.

The Leesburg Elementary School Chorus, under the direction of Sarah T. Baltunis, is comprised of 70 dedicated singers

The chorus performs in school and around the community at events such as the Leesburg Partnership Holiday Concert Series, Villages of Lady Lake Elementary Fall Festival, the Fruitland Park Methodist Church Winter Fest, and the LES Variety Show. They prepare and present two musicals a year – one in the winter and one in the spring.

Who? Chorus is for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders who want to sing and have fun!

What? Chorus students learn songs and movements for performance at community and school events and stage musicals.

When and Where? Chorus meets Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 7:15 in the front office. We rehearse in the music room from 7:25 until 8:10.

Why? Chorus helps kids to have fun, make friends, build confidence, and stay in school.

How? Students who attend rehearsals on time and participate enthusiastically will be invited to join chorus.
